With profound thoughts towards life, Carolyn always explores the essences and appearances of various subject matters; hence discovers the fallacy and dialectics of complex contexts. A glare through the lens is regarded as a reflection, a practice of contemplation.

Collective Context

2015

Current social unrest manifested from top to down, spreading vertically and horizontally, thus formed a unique collective context. Beneath the surface therein lies the reality, where art connects the appearance with the essence. This piece reveals and witnesses the social status, as inspired by neo-realism. This blue called International Klein Blue was invented by Yves Klein, the pioneer of neo-realism. The colour signifies the liberation of freedom; it leads us to embrace hope within chaos.
